The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and the Syracuse Orange face off in the Carrier Dome Saturday as both teams try to rise in the ACC. Syracuse has a 14-12 overall record and is looking to gain momentum as they are coming off a three-game losing streak. The team most recently had a tough loss against Louisville at home.
Georgia Tech hopes to sustain the energy from their two wins last week, one being against the Louisville Cardinals. The two teams faced off earlier in the season and Syracuse had an impressive victory, outscoring Georgia Tech by 34 with a final score of 97-63.
Both Syracuse and Georgia Tech have a 7-8 record in conference play and are currently locked in a three-way tie for 6th in the ACC with Notre Dame.

Georgia Tech vs Syracuse Game In HD TV Preview
Meanwhile, Syracuse fell to 0-2 after opening the season with losses to North Carolina and Pittsburgh. In those losses, the offense struggled to execute any kind of consistency or imagination while combining to score just 16 combined points. The Orange offense does get some relief in their matchup with a Yellow Jacket defense that got torched in the UCF loss last week. That matchup will be the one to watch in this game.
The game will be played in front of an empty Carrier Dome as Syracuse will not allow fans to be in attendance, and will be a late morning start. Those two factors could influence the sharpness and intensity in this game.
Syracuse crushed Georgia Tech 97-63 in the first meeting as Elijah Hughes dropped in a career-high 33 points and the Orange limited Yellow Jackets leading scorer Michael Devoe to seven points on 2-of-12 shooting. “We all were just low on energy. I don’t know what it was, but we’re going to bounce back most definitely,” Georgia Tech’s Moses Wright said that day. “Like I said, no excuses for the way we played.” The Yellow Jackets can make amends this time by defeating the Orange, who have dropped five of their last six games to fall into a sixth-place tie in the ACC standings with Georgia Tech and several other teams. Georgia Tech has won five of its last seven games, including a recent win over Louisville, which bounced back by crushing Syracuse the last time out.
