September 24, 2020 By ncaaf Leave a Comment

The kickoff time for NC State at Virginia Tech has officially been announced for Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. ET and is set to be broadcast on ACC Network. While the matchup is set to be the first road game for the Wolfpack, it will be the season opener for the Hokies after its first two games were postponed — including its contest with the Pack.

NC State vs Virginia Tech

Originally, the game between State and VT was scheduled for Sept. 12 as the season opener for both programs. However, with NC State dealing with a cluster of COVID-19 cases a few weeks back, the game was moved to the first open date for the two teams.

While the Pack is still set to start this Saturday against Wake Forest at home a primetime game scheduled for 8 p.m. ET Virginia Tech wasn’t so fortunate. The Hokies further delayed the start of their season after a COVID-19 outbreak of their own, which forced them to postpone the first game against Virginia for a later date.

There are three options when it comes to picking your subscription. Fubo and Fubo Extra offer a 7-day free trial. However, the third option, FuboTV, doesn’t come with a free trial for the plan, but it does come with discounted and free add-ons for the first two months for Cloud DVR Plus, Showtime, and Family Share.

Fubo and Fubo Extra are the only two plans that come with a 7-day free trial. If you cancel your subscription before the end of the 7-day period you won’t be charged anything for the service. If you choose to keep your subscription you’ll be charged the monthly fee at the end of the 7-day trial.

Hulu With Live TV Free Trial

With over 35 million subscribers in the US, Hulu is one of the biggest premium streaming services in America. It not only allows on-demand access to thousands of classic, recent, and even original TV shows and movies, but it also offers next-day access to new episodes for TV series shown the night before on broadcast networks like NBC, ABC, and Fox. That’s something that rivals like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video don’t offer.

In addition, Hulu also has another plan, which adds live TV with over 60 channels to choose from, along with a cloud DVR feature. Depending on which plan you pick, you could spend hundreds of dollars a year, or maybe more, on Hulu’s plans and features.

Get Sling TV

Like most streaming services, Sling TV offers a free trial for new subscribers. With a free trial, you’ll have time to test out the service to decide if the channel lineup, video quality, DVR, and other features are worth the cost of a monthly subscription for you.

To get started, download the Sling TV app on any of the compatible devices. As soon as you open the app, you’ll find a button saying Watch Now 7 Days Free. From there, you’ll complete the signup process, including payment information. The credit card you enter will be charged at the end of your 7 day free trial. Be sure to cancel before the 7 days are up to avoid being charged if you don’t wish to continue your subscription.

NC State vs Virginia Tech Game In HD TV Preview

After an offseason for the history books, Virginia Tech finally seems set to begin its 2020 football season on Saturday night. Pending an impromptu COVID-cancelation, the Hokies face the NC State Wolfpack, a rare opponent thanks to the ACC’s uneven scheduling system. The Wolfpack finished 4-8 in 2019. Injuries and an ineffective passing attack, paired with one of the worst defenses prompted head coach Dave Doeren to look outside his coaching family to straighten out his program.

NC State’s offense is heavily driven by the zone running game. NC State disguises the zone by showing a ton of different alignments pre-snap, but the vast majority of the running game is zone right and zone left. In the outside zone, the running backs angle to the sideline and plant to cut back. The NC State offensive line did a magnificent job of caving in the backside pursuit of the Wake Forest defense to open up cutback lanes.

The physicality and mobility of NC State’s offensive line stood out to me. The strength up front mixed with fast tempo made it difficult for Wake Forest to adjust their defensive scheme. The Demon Deacons often played a Cover 3 soft zone with limited defenders in the box, especially against four wide receiver-one back personnel groups. The Wolfpack offensive line absolutely dominated in the box, especially when they had the numbers advantage. Check out this touchdown run.
